Turning Pages, Finding Peace: My Autumn Reading Journey

This autumn, I’m making a conscious commitment to my mental wellbeing—by reading more.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and I’ve found that books offer a gentle escape, a moment of calm, and a way to reconnect with myself. As Mason Cooley beautifully put it:

“Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.”

So, I’m leaning into that comfort and dedicating more time to reading—not just for entertainment, but as a form of self-care.

To keep things exciting and help me choose my next reads, I’ll be taking part in a few reading challenges I’ve discovered online. These challenges are a fun way to explore new genres, discover hidden gems, and stay motivated.

I’ll be sharing the challenges I’m doing and posting updates on how I’m getting along. Whether you're a lifelong book lover or just looking for a new way to unwind, I’d love for you to join me.

Let’s make this season one of stories, self-reflection, and growth.

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
— Dr. Seuss
“Reading is an exercise in empathy; an exercise in walking in someone else’s shoes for a while.”
— Malorie Blackman

So grab a book, find a cozy corner, and let’s turn the page together. 📖✨
